OUR APPROACH

PSYCHO-SOCIAL AND WELLBEING CONSULTATIONS (EWP)

Employees and their immediate household members are able to access the services
of Enzo Wellness for a wide range of personal and work related problems that
include emotional, physical, mental, and health issues.
The outcome of these services is twofold, namely:
• Providing proactive ways to improve and maintain physical, emotional,
psychological, occupational, social health and wellbeing.
• Identifying, assessing and intervening with troubled and at-risk employees timeously

EWP Program

The employees are able to access EWP services via:
• Self-referral whereby an employee calls Enzo Wellness Service Centre for an appointment
• Informal referral whereby an employee receives a recommendation for
counselling from a manager or supervisor
• Mandatory referral whereby it is required that the employee make use
of the counselling facility as a result of a work performance related
issue, for example testing positive for drugs or alcohol, being
absent without leave, or drop in work performance.
Whenever a client accesses the Employee Wellbeing Program (EWP), Enzo
Wellness will assist the caller in scheduling a face-to-face appointment with
one of our EWP practitioners in the caller’s local community.
Enzo Wellness will ensure that the client’s problems are thoroughly
assessed and a brief solution focused intervention (typically 1 – 8 sessions
per case) is provided.
EWP services will be offered for all personal and work related problems
including but not limited to:
- Personal and family crises or emergencies
- Interpersonal difficulties
- Stress
- Job/career issues
- Bereavement
- General emotional difficulties
- HIV/AIDS counseling (pre and post counselling)
- Substance abuse counselling

LEGAL WELLBEING CONSULTATIONS

A Telecare service run by qualified and experienced in-house attorneys who will
provide guidance and information on all legal matters is available 24 hours a
day.
Enzo Wellness undertakes to assist employees who have legal problems
through the application of an assessment, lifestyle/legal counselling
advice and information and referral to a specialist in the legal field.
A panel of practising attorneys is also available who will provide
the client with a free initial 30-minute consultation, should this be
considered necessary. If required, the practising attorney will also draft
one letter or make one telephone call to a third party.

FINANCIAL WELLNESS CONSULTATIONS

The financial advice, counselling and coaching facility provides employees (and their spouses where appropriate) with
access to a personal financial advisor via the telecare service. Such an advisor will be a qualified debt counselor as per
the National Credit Act. The strength of these consultants lies in their skill relating to debt and more specifically the debt
rehabilitation program which currently experiences a significant success rate.
Furthermore, these consultants are trained to identify irregularities within Emolument Attachment Orders (also known
as garnishee orders) as well as the debt that lies behind these orders. However, they will also assist in all wealth creation
and financial management queries.

Telephone or Face to face Counseling

Access to face-to-face counseling and advisory services are provided via a
24/7/365 dedicated wellness service center which is run by a toll free call
center facility and web care system.
Access to these services provides immediate assistance to employees
and their immediate dependants in need and processes all requests for
service utilization.
Counseling and advisory services are provided by a national provider
network consisting of registered health professionals from the
disciplines of psychology and social work.

CRITICAL INCIDENT STRESS DEBRIEFING

Enzo Wellness will provide a specialized service called Trauma Assess that provides the member access to evaluation
and assessment after a traumatic incident. The nature of the trauma covers incidents such as, crime, bereavement, socioeconomic change and adjustment problems.
An assessment is done by the psychology network and determines what best possible treatment is necessary.
Enzo Wellness also provides defusing and debriefing for onsite incidents. Group sessions can be provided on an ad hoc
basis. Group debriefing requested by management in case of a critical incident will be provided on a same day basis and
will be handled as an emergency.

Enzo Wellness offers a number of workshops to companies depending on the
need expressed.

MANAGEMENT SUPPORT

Enzo Wellness EWP programmes are designed to support all employees and dependents and provide a variety of
counselling and support services.
Enzo Wellness offers the following services to ensure necessary support to managers and supervisors.
Behavioral risk management
The Enzo Wellness risk management component provides comprehensive diagnostic services and targeted risk
management solutions to organisations and their employees. Our consulting approach is to provide people-focused
business solutions that are professional, multi-disciplinary, innovative, datadriven, effective
and efficient.
Managerial consultation
Managers and supervisors have access to a team of professional managerial
coaches and counsellors who are able to assist with employee referrals and
support. Managers and Supervisors are trained on how to refer clients
through for EWP.

POLICY DEVELOPMENT

Enzo Wellness assists organisations with the review and development
of a variety of Health and Wellness related policies. Enzo Wellness
employee wellbeing policies will assist the organisation define the
purpose, scope, principles and core activities of their programmes and
govern the ethics, legislative compliance and legal risks associated with the programmes

REPORTING

• The Account Manager will schedule and attend monthly
meetings, sessions and discussions, providing management
reports to all relevant stakeholders.
• The Account Manager will also present monthly utilization
statistics, and in partnership with the Enzo Wellness
Consultancy Team, present quarterly performance and utilization
based reports to the overall organization and to each business
cluster.

Enzo Wellness is a member of EAPA which is the largest, and most
professional association for persons within the EWP field. This has enabled
us to contribute greatly to the evolution and fit of the EWP industry
within the South African culture.

HEALTH AND WELLNESS ASSESSMENTS

In most forward-looking organizations, it is mandatory for all
senior executives or employees to undergo comprehensive health and wellness assessments.
• This should be done at least once a year, but could be more
frequent depending on the outcomes of the health and wellness screening process.
• Effective planning and scheduling is key to ensure that the targeted group of employees (senior executives
participates to ensure achievement of the programme goals and objectives.
Aims of the Health Assessment:
• To assess the health risks on individual senior executives or employees and to tackle them as a collective
• To offer professional guidance (wellness coaching) on how to
make appropriate health and lifestyle changes that should improve the individual
and group health risk profiles.
• To identify and monitor positive changes at individual executive and collective level to measure the employee wellness program success.

HEALTH AND WELLNESS ASSESSMENTS

Enzo Wellness has the ability to also provide health and wellness
assessment programmes which could standardize the health screening
process. Something that will not only add value to the employee, but it
could also be a database which will measure and monitor progress and
participation. These protocols can be supplied if SEDA has a need to
standardize screening assessments. An example could be:
Core Wellness Assessments and Health Screening
The Core Wellness Assessment is a physical assessment that is conducted at the premises of our clients for each employee
participating.
This assessment is designed to provide a comprehensive and holistic profile of all members in a cost effective manner.
The test will provide each member with a health and wellness profile, build a database of the health status of all
participants and measure progress over time. It will give the health professionals information to assist every member
towards behaviour change and total wellbeing.
The Core Wellness Assessment consists of the following tests:
• Blood Cholesterol
• Blood Glucose (sugar)
• Blood Pressure
• Height
• Weight
• BMI (Body Mass Index)
• Nutrition
• Health Habits
• Stress
• Depression
• Lifestyle factors
Members immediately receive a 3 page personalised report in color on their total wellness which is used to create
awareness about their health and wellness status.
Feedback is provided by the registered health professional and participants are encouraged to change areas of risk and
improve on selected areas.

VOLUNTARY COUNSELLING TESTING(VCT)

Voluntary HIV counselling and testing (VCT) is the process by which an individual undergoes counselling enabling him
or her to make an informed choice about being tested for HIV. This decision must be entirely the choice of the individual
and he or she must be assured that the process will be confidential.
The test used within Enzo Wellness is the Core test. The process of testing used
in conducting VCT meets international standards and hence the individuals
participating in the testing process can guarantee accurate results.
Although the rapid test is quick and easy to administer, only trained
healthcare workers may conduct these tests.
The Counselling Process
A very important component of testing for HIV in terms of the Enzo
Wellness protocol is receiving pre and post counselling. This will
ensure that employees make informed decisions and choices.
The VCT process consists of:
• Pre-test - HIV counselling is offered one to one before taking
an HIV test. Ideally the counsellor prepares the client for the
test by explaining what an HIV test is, as well as correcting myths and misinformation about HIV/AIDS.
• Post-test – The main goal of this counselling session is to help clients understand their test results and initiate
adaptation to their positive or negative status, and;
• Follow-up counseling – Enzo Wellness VCT services offer the opportunity for continued counselling to their
clients whether their results are positive or negative.

Confidentiality

Many people are afraid to seek HIV services because they fear stigma and
discrimination from their employers and colleagues. VCT services should
therefore always preserve individuals’ needs for confidentiality. Trust
between the adherence to care, and discussion of HIV prevention.
In circumstances where people who test seropositive may face
discrimination, violence and abuse, it is important that confidentiality
be guaranteed.
Therefore the test results are strictly confidential, between the professional nurse and the employee.
